Travel League - Northern Missouri Futbol Club

NMFC offers travel teams for our skilled players who are interested in more competitive gameplay experiences. NMFC's U12 and U14 travel teams play in the Mid-Missouri Future League and/or the newly formed Mid-Missouri Soccer League in Boonville. Teams of various ages, typically U9 and older, are often formed to compete in the Show Me 3v3 games in November and June or the Show Me large-sided games in July. Sometimes a select group of players from a given age group may be invited to participate in other tournaments.

Future League

Teams for the Future League are formed in the U12 and U14 age groups (players in the U15 age bracket but still in 8th grade can participate). Players play double-header afternoon games on four Saturdays over the course of the season in and out of town. Game locations vary each season but can include Kirksville, Moberly, Mexico, Columbia, and more.

Cost

The cost to join a travel team is determined by the cost of participating in the league(s) for a season divided by the number of players on the team.

Who can join?

All players can join the travel league and practice as part of the player pool. Rosters for the travel teams will be selected only from the travel league player pools on the basis of effort, skill, and team needs. Players are not guaranteed to be rostered or receive equal playing time in games, even when traveling out of town. Players who are interested in developing their skills beyond the recreational league but are interested in guaranteed playing time are encouraged to enroll in both leagues.

Show Me Games

Teams for the Show Me Games are formed based on player interest, coach availability, and ability to form a team in a given age group. Whenever possible, teams are typically formed in single-year age groups (U10, U11, U12, etc.) rather than according to the two-year groupings used for the Future and Recreational Leagues. Travel team registration does not include registration for these tournaments.
